OLD LYME PLANNING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
DECEMBER 11, 2014
Present were: Harold Thompson, Chris Kerr, Edgar Butcher, Rob McCarthy, Steven Ross, and Alternates Todd Machnik and Don Willis.
Chairman Thompson called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
LOT LINE MODIFICATION – 16-1 WEST END DRIVE – JEFFREY T. BEATTY
The commission reviewed the plans submitted for the Lot Line Modification dated November 10, 2014 submitted by Angus McDonald Gary Sharpe & Associates located at 16-1 West End Drive. The commission also requested the map be changed to reflect the road name shown on the plan to West End Drive versus West End Avenue. The commission received correspondence from Attorney Cassella indicating he didn’t have any issues but asked to review the deeds prior to any recording on the land records. Keith Rosenfeld, Land Use Coordinator also reviewed the modification and had no objections to the proposal indicating the modification would makes the lots less non-conforming but would still require a variance for most improvements. Sonia Marino, Town Sanitarian reviewed the modification and stated it would increase the
potential repair area for both of the neighboring properties.
Steven Ross made a motion approve the Lot Line Modification at 16-1 West End Drive pending the review of the deeds by Attorney Cassella prior to filing of the mylar. Chris Kerr seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Chris Kerr made a motion to reinstate the existing slate of officers. Edgar Butcher seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
CORRESPONDENCE AND ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Harold Thompson asked if the commission if they would like to invite Roger Bruenig to their January or February meeting. The commission agreed. Thompson will extend an invitation.
Steven Ross suggested that Public Comment be added to the agenda. The commission agreed. Thompson also discussed an informational session on Freedom of Information being held at the Essex Town Hall on January 12, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. for any commission members who were interested in attending. Kim Groves will send out the information to the members.
